HEADLINES: President Duterte leads the groundbreaking ceremony of the New Bicol International Airport Terminal
President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Bicol International Airport.
The Bicol Airport International was started way back 2005, during the term of Arroyo and was not finished also during the time of Aquino.
The P4.8 billion international airport terminal in Bicol was a promised of Duterte to the Bicolanos and it just took months under his administration.
Pres. Duterte also discussed his visions for the Philippines to become a Federal State before his terms end and he assured the Filipino public that he is willing to resign once the Federal system will set into motion.
The BIA Development Project was initially planned in 2010 with a budget amounting to Php1.544 billion.
According to the Presidential Communication page, it aims to develop a new airport with international standards and would replace the existing Legaspi City Airport to accommodate bigger aircraft and serve a larger volume of passengers.
